The Valley of Fear is the fourth and very last Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is loosely primarily based at the Molly Maguires and Pinkerton agent James McParland. The tale was first published within the Strand Magazine in September 1914 and May 1915.
