The Faber Book of Contemporary Canadian Short Stories

The historical scope of this collection ranges from the 1930's to the last decade of this century and the forty-nine stories selected by Ondaatje, himself a successful Canadian writer, were chosen because they "in some way mapped the geographical, emotional, and literary range of [Canada] from fable to chronicle to intimate moment."
