<p>All Karen Petersen has ever wanted is to be someone’s number one. She’s lived in the shadow of her older brother, never getting any attention from parents, who value financial success that she could never achieve as a third-grade teacher in small town Bucks Mill, Virginia. All her girlfriends turn into friends or acquaintances.
