Around them, rumors of collision and apocalypse spread through streets and homes, exposing how quickly hearsay can acquire the authority of fact. Gürpınar gives these fears energy through lively dialogue, domestic detail, and competing voices instead of treating the neighborhood merely as a backdrop.
