Agricult R&d at the Crossroads: Merging Systems Research and Social Actor Approaches

It is becoming increasingly clear that social, political and economic processes are often as critical as - and even overshadow - technological innovation. Researchers thus need to consider re-defining their roles. This book includes a selection of material dealing with these issues (originally from the 1994 Montpellier symposium on systems-oriented research in agriculture), with an introduction and a detailed annotated bibliography, helping to make both English and French sources accessible. English summaries are provided for the 6 chapters in French.
