Septem Sermones ad Mortuos or The Seven Sermons to the Dead is a book written by famed Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Gustav Jung under the pen name of the Gnostic philosopher Basilides in 1916. It marks a departure from both Jung's typical subject matter and writing style, being notably poetic and imaginative. Its meaning and significance within Jung's larger work is still a matter of debate. This English translation was done by H.G. Baynes.
