Excerpt from The Wrath of Achilleus: Translated From the Iliad Into Quantitative Hexameters
There have been many attempts to write Englisi verse in quantity but none to my knowledge has achieved popular success or diminished the reju dice which is naturally felt against any tampering with the estab 'shed metrical system. I therefore feel it due both to my reader and to myself that I shou d define my own position in this matter, point out the exact object at which I aim and explain the method by which I endeavour to reach it.
About the Publisher
Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
