This book is a pocket reference guide to over 230 species of birds that are found in Britain. The species of birds are grouped in families, individual species in each family are listed alphabetically by their common name. An alphabetical index of common names is also provided.Illustrations and descriptions are provided for each species. Where the male and female differ in appearance, both are described and gender is indicated on the illustrations.The little book of British birds is one of a series of small reference guides designed to take up very little room in a pocket or backpack, but still provide enough information to identify the flora and fauna of Britain.
