Excerpt from Religious History
Twenty-seven years ago I published, under the title of Studies of Religious History, ' a series of essays relating to the various creeds of antiquity, of the Middle Ages and of the East. The following are essays which may be considered as a sequel to those Which were favourably received in 1857. In the present work, I but incidentally dwell upon Greek and Latin antiquity; to compensate for Which I submit a lengthy work upon Buddhism, and some minute discussions relative to medi&val questions.
About the Publisher
Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
