Partisan

Russia, 1940. Aleksandra, a blacksmith's wife, is thirty when the German army smashes into western Russia. With her husband away on military duty she and the kids are left to fend for themselves. When the Germans arrive and begin a brutal campaign of genocide, Aleksandra's only hope is to join the partisans, Russian resistance forces that are hated by the Nazi invaders and Soviet defenders alike. To protect her children from the horrors that surround them, Aleksandra must learn to survive between the fronts of the bloodiest war in human history, no matter the cost.
