This edition comprises a text in two languages, English and Serbo-Croatian or Croato-Serbian with an aim of reaching the post-socialist reader in the widest possible sense. The first edition of the Croato-Serbian translation was made in the Serbo-Croatian standard in 1995. It surrounded a conference in Belgrade on the Politics and Theory of Emancipation, for which Alain Badiou wrote a text Direction East-West that remains, unfortunately, lost today. The communist invariant of us inhabitants of post-socialism, patiently posited in the fourteen years of an impossible and delayed publication, confirms the basic thesis of this book.
