Little Chicken

Once there was a little chicken who belonged to a rabbit. One day the rabbit wanted to run - the way rabbits run - on and on for miles. So he told the little chicken, 'Find someone to play with while I go running around, but come home to me before the sun goes down.' So the little chicken went off alone into the world to find someone to play with. And what happened? Just what happens to every child who must sooner or later find himself 'alone in a very big world.' There were 'some who did and some who didn't' want to play with him. And in the evening just as the sun went down the little chicken ran home to the rabbit and the rabbit ran home to the chicken and that was the end of the little chicken's first adventure alone.
