From the Absinthe Publishing archives:
First published in 1830, Sir Walter Scott's Letters on Demonology and Witchcraft were written during a period in Scott's life where he was both desperate for money after financial ruin a few years later, as well as overcoming a stroke shortly later.
These ten letters were part of a collection in the Family Library series - a popular reading compilation that dealt with a varied numbers of subjects and stories.
This work has continued to be influential to modern writers of the occult and those who practice the Dark Arts, as well. Scott's expansive knowledge on the subjects of demonology and witchcraft stem mostly form previous researches and writing while in France some years prior.
