Christopher Marlowe (Canterbury, bautizado el 26 de febrero de 1564 - Deptford, 30 de mayo de 1593) fue un dramaturgo, poeta y traductor inglés del Período isabelino. Popularizó el verso blanco incorporándolo a su teatro. Es considerado como el gran predecesor de Shakespeare. Actualmente existe un debate sobre su autoría en varias obras del Bardo.
