Overview

He sat there in his kitchen. He was looking at the clock on the stove. The green glow of the digital clock told him the correct time. However, it was not the right time to be sitting, thinking, wondering and feeling sorry for oneas self. Leaning against the old wooden table, George Everett Bartlett put his head down, cradled in his forearms. He was alone, crying. This novel begins with a man attempting to cope with the loss of his wife to a drunk driver. Too soon after the tragedy, he begins to dream of a very beautiful, young woman he once knew. He attempts to shed his sorrow by rejoining the social community. His thoughts and emotions keep turning to the dream lover. At the time, their paths had crossed when he lived in Tennessee. He sought to avoid involvement with her despite her obvious crush on him. It is years later when his thoughts, dreams and actions turn back to her.
