Development & Structure of the Turkish Economy

This book tries to analyze the Turkish economy from the point of the production structure with both the quantitative and qualitative elements. A brief summary of the historical evolution of the economy and elaborating the complete shift of the economic policies after 980 provide a base for understanding of later developments. Money and banking and the public finance aspects of the economy as well as the sources of capital accumulation are detailed. Main sectors of economy, that is, agriculture, industry and services are analyzed. A discussion of the social aspects of the economy is followed by a chapter on the national income and its distribution. The economy and the rest of the world and the long term growth and development prospects are also worked out.
