Overview

This memoir is inspired by Édouard Levé’s Autoportrait. An “embellished translation” that mimics Levé’s form and style, but uses my own content. Through nonlinear and associative fragments: it tells the story of my life. From a smart kid to a teen who dreamed of being a writer and traveling the world; to a 20-something who never took work seriously and a 30-something factory worker who needs new ideals. I write of family, friends, enemies, girlfriends, love, art, school, work, travel, and more. You could just as easily write a similar memoir; though our experiences will differ. More than likely some fragment within will connect you to your memories: the ones we share, and those we don’t.
