Overview

I wanted to write a book about learning; one that would prove accessible to all coaches of team sports, particularly those working as volunteers in clubs. Not a book filled with graphs, flow charts and tables of statistics; not one couched in the language of academics and experts; just something to awaken interest. This book is driven by experiences, by highs and lows in coaching and by a passion for developing individual players. I have deliberately kept the chapters short and manageable, with a message or two in each. If, after publication, I learn of a football coach using a skills wheel to identify challenges, a basketball mentor adopting the bunch of keys approach or some ice hockey players practising peer coaching, that'll be enough for me.Enjoy!
