An Unabridged Edition from the Translation by Ernest Dowson This shot story was my introduction to Honore de Balzac. While I knew the name I had never had anyone suggest I read his work until I entered a course at university and this was suggested reading. I am so glad I discoverer this author. His work is as modern today as when this was first written. A great short story. I highly recommend this.
