Mustafa Kara (born 1951) is a Turkish scholar and writer whose work brings the history of Sufism into conversation with institutions, cities, teachers, and lived religious culture. His long academic career at Bursa Uludağ University's Faculty of Theology made him especially associated with studies of Sufi history and Bursa's spiritual heritage. Kırklara Karışan Mevlâna approaches Mevlâna through a culturally rooted narrative and offers a focused view of Kara's interest in how Sufi figures are remembered. The volume is a compact route into that strand of his writing. Beyond it, his scholarship ranges across orders, lodges, biographies, and the intellectual history of Sufism, joining archival attention to an accessible account of spiritual culture and its local forms.
