Goce Smilevski's novels explore intellectual history, family shadows, overlooked lives, memory, and the distance between a public figure and a private world. Conversation with Spinoza does not treat philosophy as a set of detached propositions. It creates an imagined exchange in which solitude, desire, embodiment, and ordinary relationships press against the thinker’s carefully ordered ideas.

Freud's Sister turns toward a family member obscured by a famous name, asking how historical accounts decide whose experience becomes visible. Heloiza likewise draws on an inherited cultural figure while attending to voice, absence, and the limits of reconstruction.
